SkyMapper Secures $3 Million in Pre-seed Funding Led by EV3, with Participation from Volt Capital and Boost VC
San Francisco, CA — June 17, 2025 — SkyMapper, the world’s leading decentralized global astronomy network, today announced the successful close of a $3 million pre-seed fundraising round led by EV3, with participation from Volt Capital and Boost VC. The funding round will accelerate SkyMapper’s mission to make continuous, real-time sky mapping accessible to everyone, everywhere.
SkyMapper operates a rapidly growing, blockchain-enabled infrastructure network with thousands of telescopes worldwide. By combining cutting-edge imaging technology with open participation from thousands of contributors, SkyMapper coordinates a real-time, immutable database of astronomical and satellite data—democratizing space discovery and observation for professional astronomers, researchers, and citizen scientists alike.
